Our sister site Cheglinch Camping can be found in a field on the outskirts of our farm.  Our quiet, wild camping site pops up for a short time in the summer and then reverts back to its normal agricultural use the rest of the year.  It is run as a completely separate site from Cheglinch Farm Glamping and offers a totally different experience.

Here we offer proper, old fashioned ‘Wild Camping’.  Camping as you remember enjoying when you were young!  A complete contrast to the busy, commercial campsites nearby.  Bring you tent and everything you need, then enjoy spectacular views of the North Devon countryside, acres of open space, huge unmarked pitches and open fires in our fire pits available to hire.  Our cows may be seen grazing in the nearby fields and tractors working within the hamlet.  Children can run freely around the field while you lie back and take in the view.  This truly is a great place to enjoy a barbecue whilst watching the sun go down in the evening.

As this is a completely rural location, well away from houses and amenities, the facilities are basic allowing you to experience true wild camping.  A main’s water tap providing fresh drinking water, a sink with cold water for washing up and toilet facilities are provided.  Showers are not available but you are welcome to bring your own portable one.

We welcome well behaved dogs at Cheglinch Camping so this really is a holiday for all the family!

ALSO: Pre-pitched unfurnished 5m diameter Lotus Belle tents available to rent. Fire-pit provided but bring all your other camping equipment.  Sorry dogs cannot be accommodated in these tents.

Prices are just £16 per pitch per night for 2 people, 1 bring your own tent, 1 car, 1 dog.  Additional adults are £8 per night, children £4 per night, car £2/night, dogs £1/night.

Pre-pitched tent £55 per night, minimum 2 night stay, sleeping up to 6 people.
